Company email (March 2019)
"Yes [the mini donut soda] is vegan friendly"

Anna notes (July 2018)
"The root beer (non-alcoholic) is vegan. The mini doughnut beer (only available at State Fair) is also vegan (does not contain lactose). I didn't specifically ask about it, but the creme soda is also vegan. (Per Facebook response today)"

Company email (January 2012):
"I did check with our brewmaster. He informed me at this time all of our beers are vegan. We did have a Osyter Stout this fall and that one was not vegan. Our main beers are all good to go. We do not use
any animal by-products in the making or filtering of our beers. We no longer use gelatin in the filtering we now use a seaweed based extract. Enjoy!"

Company Email:

You will be happy to know that we do not use any clarifying agents besides irish moss. Many brewers use a isinglass, or other shellfish derivative, for clarifying purposes after the beer has fermented before bottling or kegging. I have personally done a lot of research on the subject, not because of the vegan angle, but because i know a few people, including a cousin, that are deathly allergic to shellfish. It turns out that most of the clarifying derivatives on the market are refined to the point that there are no actual shellfish proteins present, which would cause allergic reaction, only specific minerals which act to "cling" to remaining particulate in the beer and drop it from suspension.
This information comes from the Medical Research Director at Purdue University. As such, I do not think anyone's vegan status or allergies would necessarily be compromised, but we have decided to just avoid the use altogether. The complete ingredients for our flagships are as follows...
Farm Girl Saison: malted barley, hops, pure beet sugar, orange peel, irish moss, belgian yeast, and water. Pale Ale: malted barley, hops, grapefruit peel, irish moss, american ale yeast, and water.
While not "organic" (a term still suspect in food and brewing), we think we do a good job of only putting only pure, natural ingredients in our beer, avoiding chemicals and extract flavorings.
