Company email (May 2023)
"I have confirmed with our winemaking team that we stopped using animal products in our wines in 2019.
We are not certified vegan, however our Chandon Brut and Chandon Rose are not made using animal products.
As well as all our vintage products from 2019 onwards.
Animal proteins such as egg and milk have a long history in winemaking, as they are very effective for removing tannins from wine.
Today we are able to use pea derived proteins for the same effect."

"We occasionally use products derived from animals in the production of some wines; this decision is made on a case by case basis. These products are not used as an ingredient, but as fining agents that facilitate the removal of solids or astringent molecules. We occasionally use very low levels of egg whites, casein (milk protein), or gelatin. "
