Company email (April 2024)
"There are the occasional Beers that have additional Lactose which is stated on the label which again would make the beer unsuitable for a Vegan Diet.
Currently this is only Restless, Which is an Imperial Milk Porter"
Company email (May 2022)
"General Rule of thumb is that all of cask isn’t suitable for vegans
All keg and can is suitable
We say to people to double check with our stouts, sours, and saisons as they can contain lactose.
Of our core range Restless is the only beer to contain lactose."
Company email (January 2019)
"I would like to update you with our current situation with regard to vegan friendly beers within our range. The list on your website is very old now and although a lot of our range cannot be guaranteed as vegan friendly the following can:
Effortless – NZ Pale Ale keg and can (but not cask)
Hersbrucker Pilsner – Pilsner
Perceptionless – NEIPA
Merciless – Brut IPA"
Company email (March 2018)
"Unfortunately our products are not vegan friendly."
Company email (October 2016)
"Yes all our bottled/can beer is suitable for vegetarian and vegans."
Company email (October 2012):
"Unfortunately all our cask beers have Isinglass in them, our bottled beers however do not. The only other animal product we use is in the Oyster Stout, our beers are only brewed by ourselves."
Company email (November 2011)
"All my beers use Isinglass as finings, so sorry they are not vegetarian friendly."
