Company email (May 2019) re Orange Dreamshake:
"Unfortunately it is not. The Lactose is Milk Sugar. Sorry about that."
Company email (August 2018)
"On the topic of vegan beers – according to our head brewmaster – yes, most of our beers are considered vegan, unless otherwise noted by the list of ingredients on our cans.
"The processing of beer and ingredients is done without any animal-based products or equipment, unless otherwise noted.
"Our year round lineup of IPA, Swing State Pale Ale, and Red Ale should be considered vegan. Our other year-round beer, Third Wheel Belgian Tripel, contains sugar – and we cannot verify that the sugar is produced in a way that meets vegan standards (such as by the use of bone char.)
"Our seasonal lineup of Blood Brood Hefeweizen, Siblime Lager, and Festbier should be considered vegan. Our winter seasonal Pecan Brown Ale is not, as it contains lactose.
"Our limited release Pilsner, Lavender Wit, and Coffee Red Ale should all be considered vegan as well. Taproom exclusive beers may or may not be vegan; they are produced in limited batches, and some may contain honey, milk, chocolate, or other non-vegan friendly ingredients. It is best to check with a brewmaster regarding a special release if the identity of the beer is not obvious."
