Company email (August 2019)
"I’m happy to say that neither Wicked Grove or Woodchuck ciders are made using any ingredients with animal derivatives."

Company email (July 2013):
"We do not certify our products as vegetarian and vegan safe. However, I do believe that we are safe as we do not use any animal, fish, egg or dairy materials in our products. These items are sometimes used in the beer and wine industry as a filtering agent (such as isinglass) however Woodchuck® Hard Ciders are not filtered using these agents."

Company email:
"We have actually changed the recipe for our Spring Cider for 2011 and it no
longer contains honey (nor do any of our other ciders) - here is a link
to an updated description: http://www.woodchuck.com/news-events/news.html "

"Actually, the Spring Cider last season had a touch of honey. The Summer Cider has a hint of blueberry! "

Note from Lisa:
I just visited Woodchuck's FAQs, dated 2010, and they now say this:

Q. Is your brewing process vegetarian and vegan safe?

A: We do not certify that our products are vegetarian and vegan safe. To our knowledge there are no animal, fish, egg or dairy materials in our products. These items are sometimes used in the beer and wine industry as a filtering agent (such as isinglass) however Woodchuck Hard Ciders are not filtered using these agents."
