"To answer your question, no animals are involved in any part of the brewing or packaging process. Water, malted barley, hops, and yeast are the only ingredients. We use no clarifying agents or other additives to increase shelf life or enhance flavor. We as a brewery currently comply with the German purity law of Reinheitsgebot (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reinheitsgebot ) . As we expand to do other styles from other countries we may use some spices and other natural adjuncts (rice, corn, oats, etc.) but will never use any animal derived products. This is all fairly typical for a craft brewery.
Our product is unpasteurized and naturally carbonated. Even when we filter for clarity, it still has small amounts of yeast in solution. This along with the hops provide a natural preservative quality. "
