Company email (July 2023)
"Cairngorm Blessed Thistle and Cairngorm Nessie’s Monster Mash are no longer available in bottle and Blessed Thistle is also NOT available in draught any more.
We also have a new beer, not listed, called Cairngorm IPA which in bottle is vegan friendly but not in cask. We have kegged versions of the beers which ARE vegan friendly other than Black Gold. I have also attached the taste notes for the Cairngorm Brewery range also. "
Company email (September 2012):
"Thank you for your email, with reference to our Bottled White Lady being Vegetarian Approved.
I can confirm that there are no animal products used in the ingredients and bottling process for any of our bottled beers although, we do use a different fining in our Draught ale products. Our ales are solely brewed and bottled in the Cairngorms National Park in the Highlands of Scotland. We have been bottling our beer since June this year, as we recently invested in a bottling plant, prior to that our beer was brewed in Aviemore and then sent in tanker to Frederic Robinson Ltd in Stockport for bottling.
I can state that we are vegetarian approved and that there is no animal bi-product or ingredient in our beer, but we cannot say we are Vegan Friendly as we have not (to date) applied for approval."
Company Email:
"Thank you for your enquiry regarding Vegan Ales and apologies for the slight delay in replying.
We are Vegetarian Approved and currently our ale Black Gold (in bottle) is Vegetarian Approved Beer of the Year. Black Gold does contain Lactose as it is made from a Traditional Milk Stout recipe.
Our ale is produced in the Highlands of Scotland and at present sent south to a 3rd party to be bottled. We cannot categorically say that our ale is suitable for Vegans, we use a 3rd party, although we are in the process of building our own bottling plant. This will enable us to make enquiries with the relevant organisation and hopefully be able to advise such on our bottle labels. "
