Company email (July 2020)

"With the exception of one of our winter seasonal beers, Lugene Chocolate Milk Stout which contains lactose, none of our beers contain any animal ingredients (such as milk/lactose/casein, eggs, cochineal, honey, animal-derived enzymes, etc). Nor do we use any animal products in the processing/filtration of our beers (such as isinglass, gelatin, etc).

"In general, we do not use any exogenous enzymes, filtration or processing aides, or preservatives in any of our beers."

Company email (July 2020)
"Yes, our wine can be classified as vegan. Sometimes wine is fined (usually in small lots) using old school methods like egg whites, gelatin, isinglass etc. Our wine was only fined with bentonite (clay) for protein stability. We do filter the wine using two different methods - crossflow and membrane, but in both cases the filter media is vegan. In addition, many fining agents that originated from animal products (for example casein) now have plant based alternatives. With all of these options available to us, I feel confident saying that our wine will always be vegan."

Company email (September 2012):
"Odell Brewing Company does not use isinglass for wort clarification in our brewing process. Instead, we use carrageenan extracted from red marine algae.

We will periodically use honey in our pilot system beers available in our Tap Room. When we do use honey in our Tap Room beers we do list it in the ingredients for awareness."

Company email:
Thanks for your inquiry. We do not use any animal products in our beer on a regular basis. The only exception would be honey. However, we have only brewed 1 batch with honey in our existence. If we ever brew another beer with honey, it would be clearly labeled.
