Company email (March 2015):
"Vi har brukt honning to-tre eksperimentelle øl. Den eneste som er i salg nå er SummerSommer. Men da står det tydelig på etiketten. Med unntaket om honningen overfor, så er svaret altså at Nøgne Øs øl er 100% vegane.»

[Translated by Stig] "We have used honey in two or three experimental beers, of which SummerSommer is the only one currently in sale. It will be explicitly stated on the label. Except the honey in the mentioned brew, our answer is that our beer is 100% vegan."

Company email (April 2012):
"All our beers are vegan except Sahti which was brewed with honey once in 2008, and the cask conditioned Bitter which was brewed at Batemans for the Wetherspoon pubs this year."

Company email (January 2012):
"We use only vegan ingredients in our beers. We don't use isingglass or gelatin or kieselguhr during the process. We did some years ago make a beer with honey (Sahti). That product is now sold out."

Company email:
"No, we do not use gelatin or isinglass.
We have used honey in one of our beers (Sahti). But in my understanding honey comes from flowers, and is not an animal product."
