Vegan Friendly
Company Email (June 2021):
"Our beers in Birrificio del Ducato are made without animal derived ingredients. We don't use artificial coloring, neither any ingredient nor aid that could cause any kind of problem with this classification. Most of our suppliers also have a Vegan certificate for most of their ingredients (available upon request) but sometimes, with some peculiar product, it's difficult to find any "official" certificate, but we're talking about some really safe things (e.g.: craft and handmade citruses peels bought directly from farmers).
When it'll happen to have some contract beers or one-off products, if these beers contain any non vegan-friendly ingredient, this will be carefully written in the ingredient list (e.g.: we brewed once for a customer that required a lacto-imperial stout).
We don't pasteurize, we don't filter or microfilter, our beer is clarified with Food-Grade Silica Gel and stabilized through physical processes (centrifuge).
At the moment, we do all the production within our facilities so there's no trouble to assure that everything is compliant to our standards."
Company email (September 2014)
"We do not use animal ingredients except isinglass for few beers that are not bottle conditioned." [Unfortunately we can't figure out which ones those are, so we're marking this as unknown for now - can anyone help?]
