Company email (July 2018)
[Answered "no" (which is good) to the standard Barnivore questions related to the Berliner weisse beers]
Company email (December 2014):
[Answers to the standard Barnivore questions] "No" and "No"
Company email (August 2011):
"We do not use any animal ingredients or processing aids in any of our beers."
Company email (August 2009):
"The beers we make using only water, malt and hops include Red Seal Ale, Scrimshaw, Blue Star Wheat Beer, Old No. 38 Stout, Blackhart Stout (for Trader Joe's), Cru d'Or (Organic dubbel for Whole Foods Market), Old Plowshare (Organic Stout - Whole Foods), and Acme Pale Ale. The non-organic Belgian style beers all use one kind of sugar or another. Brother Thelonious uses a brown sugar which I believe is derived from cane. Since the bone char is used to take out color maybe it's not used on that one.Old Rasputin uses some brewing sugar."
Additional email:
