Company email (January 2018)
"On the Baltika Breweries for our beer we do not use ingredients of animal origin (such as dairy products, eggs, animal enzymes etc.). In the production and filtration process we also do not use such products."
Company email (circa 2012)
"All Baltika beers (full list you can find here http://eng.baltika.ru/) don't contain any animal ingredients or animal products. Some contain micro quantities of Albumin and Glyceryl but those are not made from animals. Grain (malt, wheat) contians albumin and glyceryl is by-product of yeast fermentation."
Follow up from Jorge (circa 2011)
"Yes, I remember they mentioned they use albumin, however they specified it was from wheat and/or malt, a quote from her email "Some contain micro quantities of Albumin and Glyceryl but those are not made from animals. Grain (malt, wheat) contians albumin and glyceryl is by-product of yeast fermentation." (sic)
I knew albumin was animal by-product, so I search online about it and yes, there's plant-albumin. "
