Company email (January 2013):
"I reached out to our brewers and they said no, technically our beers are not vegan since all of our beers our filtered with diatomaceous earth which is brown algae from the ancient sea bed." [Editor's note: Diatomaceous earth is vegan -- http://www.barnivore.com/faq]
Company email:
Hi Julie,
No...how's that for a direct answer. We don't believe in using the materials you're referring to. Our products are actually Kosher certified, the only craft brewer we know of to go through this evaluation. There are very strict parameters excluding these types of things. We use only water, hops, malted barley and yeast.
I hope that's the answer you were looking for.
Cheers!

No animal adjuncts are used in our products whatsoever. Feel free to keep on keeping on. We're a safe bet for you.
And the only honey that belongs in a brewery is my girlfriend. You're safe!
